  • Amazing! It's £18 to get in but well worth it if you carve out enough time to get to see everything. Down in the crypt there are the tombs of Nelson & Wellington & many other great generals and poets and authors. Then there's the nave and views of the stunning dome, altar etc. You can also climb up to three different levels. First are some easy low step stairs to the Whispering Gallery with views into the cathedral itself. Then up steeper stone steps to step outside onto the Stone Gallery with amazing views across London. Then up a crazy metal circular staircase and through narrow passages to the Golden Gallery, a narrow platform round the outside of the top of the dome. This bit tends to be busy and you'll have to be patient shuffling round in single file. But the amazing views are well worth it! A great few hours spent!!
